Ukraine has discussed and considered legistlation to ratify the
Hague Adoption Convention for over 5 years. We are unsure of its
chances this time around. It is scheduled for debate this summer.
We are working to determine what this would mean operationally
for international adoptions in Ukraine. Right now, it is unclear,
but in every other country that has ratified the convention
adoption costs increased significantly. This is mostly due to
more steps, documentation and basically bureaucracy. Let's all
hope nothing changes.

real control over the destiny of the children adopted by the
foreigners, a government official has said.
"I'm sure that all of the resources there were in Ukraine to

Pavlenko said that the convention would allow eliminate any
